Kayla Woody is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She began dancing at the early age of two, ultimately training for 16 years at Fabulous Feet the Company in various dance styles including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Throughout her dancing career, Kayla earned numerous competitive titles and master class scholarships, and also performed in the Kidz Rock show at the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson several times. Additionally, Kayla was invited to compete in the Parade of Champions for nine consecutive years. She started teaching dance early in her career and has spent the last decade as an instructor and choreographer, primarily focusing on tap technique and choreography, for which she has received numerous accolades. Kayla studied at Emerson College, where she spent three years as Tap Director of the Emerson Urban Dance Theater, constructing, leading, and performing in multiple shows in Boston, MA. Today, Kayla's passion for dance remains as vibrant as it was 20 years ago. Her primary focus in the classroom is to share her knowledge of tap dance, and dance of all genres, with the next generation to keep the art alive and thriving, all while creating a fun and energetic classroom environment!
